Touch remote
Use a touchscreen to replace the keyboard and mouse, and provide a third-party controller for standard version meeting software.
Touch remote

VCA's "Touch Remote" feature not only allows you to use the Controller tablet to simulate a physical mouse and keyboard to remotely control the Host machine, but when the Host is running a non-Rooms version of video conferencing software, this interface will also automatically provide a convenient "Unofficial Meeting Controller", allowing you to perform common meeting operations directly on the Controller.
This combined feature aims to keep the conference room desktop tidy and provide flexible control solutions in various scenarios, whether for detailed operation of desktop applications or quick management of the meeting process.
Access and Interface Overview
Ensure Connection: Confirm that your Controller is successfully connected to the Host machine.
Enter the Touch Remote Interface:
In the main interface of the Controller app, click the navigation tab "Touch Remote".
The Controller interface will switch to virtual touch control mode. This interface is divided into three areas: the upper-left, upper-right, and lower half of the screen:
Upper-left area: Unofficial Meeting Controller - When the Host is running supported non-Rooms version video conferencing software, this area will display control buttons for that application.
Upper-right area: Virtual Touchpad - Used to simulate mouse operations.
Lower half of the screen: Virtual Keyboard - Used to simulate keyboard operations.
Using the Unofficial Meeting Controller
When you launch a non-Rooms version of video conferencing software (such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.) on the Host via VCA, the "Unofficial Controller" panel for that meeting application will automatically appear in the upper-left corner of the Controller's "Touch Remote" interface.
This panel typically includes the following controls (using Microsoft Teams as an example; available controls may vary slightly for different meeting software):
Current Application Identifier: The top will clearly display the name of the meeting software currently running on the Host (e.g., "Microsoft Teams").
Core Control Buttons:
Audio/Microphone: Click to toggle the mute/unmute status of the Host's meeting microphone.
Video/Camera: Click to turn on/off the Host's meeting camera.
Record: If the meeting software supports it and VCA can control it, click to start or stop meeting recording.
Participants: Click to attempt to show or hide the meeting participant list on the Host.
End/Hang Up: A prominent red button, click to end the current meeting or leave the meeting.
Volume Control:
Using the slider or plus/minus buttons, you can adjust the system volume of the Host machine's operating system. This will affect the overall sound output level of all applications on the Host, including the current meeting software.
Third-Party Meeting Controller Support Details
VCA's "Touch Remote Control" feature provides a convenient "Unofficial Meeting Controller" when the Host machine is running standard video conferencing software. This controller allows you to perform common meeting operations directly on the Controller tablet.
Due to differences in application implementation across various operating systems and video conferencing software, VCA's support for their quick controls varies. The table below summarizes the main feature support of the VCA Third-Party Meeting Controller for common video conferencing software on macOS and Windows platforms.
Important Notes:
The support status listed here is based on the current version of VCA and common versions of the corresponding video conferencing software. Software updates may affect the level of support.
The "Unofficial Meeting Controller" achieves control by simulating keyboard shortcuts or utilizing some application interfaces. Its stability and full functionality may not be as robust as officially provided controllers. If a feature is marked as supported (✅) in the table but does not work in practice, please check if your video conferencing software is the latest version, or try restarting the relevant application and VCA Host.

Legend:
✅: Indicates that the feature is supported by the VCA Third-Party Meeting Controller on this platform and application. The corresponding shortcut key may be noted in parentheses.
❌: Indicates that the feature is currently not supported for control via the VCA Third-Party Meeting Controller on this platform and application.
By consulting this table, you can quickly understand the functional coverage of VCA's Third-Party Meeting Controller for the operating system and video conferencing software you use. If you need to use features not listed in the table, or if a feature is not supported, please use VCA's Virtual Touch and Keyboard/Mouse functionality to operate the video conferencing software directly on the Host machine.
Note:
The functionality and actual effect provided by the "Unofficial Meeting Controller" depend on the specific version of the meeting software running on the Host and its openness to external control.
If a Rooms version of video conferencing software (such as Zoom Rooms) is launched, VCA will usually bring up the official controller application corresponding to that Rooms software on the VCA Controller (if installed), rather than displaying the "Unofficial Controller" here.
Using the Virtual Mouse
On the right side of the upper half of the "Touch Remote" screen, you can simulate mouse operation:
Pointer Movement: Slide a single finger on the touchpad area.
Left Click: Tap once with a single finger.
Right Click: Tap once with two fingers.
Scrolling: Slide two fingers up, down, left, or right on the touchpad area.
Dragging: Slide three fingers up, down, left, or right on the touchpad area.

Using the Virtual Keyboard
Bring up the Keyboard:
When you first enter the "Touch Remote" interface, the virtual keyboard is displayed by default.
If the keyboard is minimized, clicking the "Keyboard" button in the middle of the screen will re-expand the virtual keyboard.
Text Input:
Use the virtual mouse to position the cursor on the target input box on the Host machine's screen.
Type text on the Controller's virtual keyboard.
Hide Keyboard:
Click the minimize icon in the lower-right corner of the keyboard to hide the virtual keyboard.
Usage Tips:
The "Unofficial Meeting Controller" provides convenience for common operations, but to use all advanced features of the meeting software, please use the virtual keyboard and mouse.
Ensure a stable network connection between the Controller and the Host and use P2P (local network communication) mode for a smooth remote control experience.
